How My Local Library Helped Me Get from Jobless and Broke to Six Figures a Year In 2008 I had the world I had a good job I loved. I earned a pretty good salary, and was constantly praised What is that old saying about pride going before the fall? Yep, thats exactly what happened. Through no fault of my own, the company I worked for as a high-end retail sales manager went bankrupt. We received no advance notice that they were closing our store. On a Thursday in late June of 2008, it was business as usual. Friday shut down. That was the same year the economy crashed in the United States, creating a perfect storm of financial fear and self-doubt in my life. I sold my car and most of my possessions, so I would have some cash to fall back on in case I didnt find another job right away. To bolster my income as I continued to look for work, I decided to learn about this whole making money online thing. Since I could not even afford a monthly Internet bill, I walked to and from the near I stumbled across a few Internet marketing forums, where I sold articles for as little as $5 or $10. After just over a year of cranking out low-paying work seven days a week, my financial situation slowly began to improve. I persisted. I took online courses and writing classes. That persistence paid off. One of my clients told me I should become a copywriter because my writing converted so well for him. I thanked him, hung up the phone and immediately grabbed my Websters Dictionary. I had no clue what a copywriter was! Almost instantly, I began writing copy instead of content. I realized that copywriting was where I needed to be, and where my natural inclinations and talents belonged. I began offering copywriting services to my clients and cut back on writing content. Fast forward eight long years, and I am on pace to flirt with a six-figure income this year. Whats the take-away from this story? Dont give up when things get tough. Always keep your Big Why in the front of your mind. Ask yourself why you want to earn a living as a writer. Be brutally honest with your answer. Keep asking yourself why, over and over, until you get to the basic motivating factor that drives your writing desires. Was it fun for me, walking in the rain, the cold and the heat, seven days a week to my local library to frequently sit next to some less than desirable people while I taught myself how to make a good living writing online? Of course it wasnt. But it was necessary. Do whatever is necessary to live your dream life. Its not really as hard as you may think. It may take time. It is certainly going to take effort. But the personal empowerment and freedom that the freelance writing lifestyle delivers is worth any cost as long as your Why? is big enough.

Pakistani vehicle art is a popular folk art. Painting Muslims brought with them the artistic traditions of Baghdad when they came in to south part of Asia. In the starting era the walls and roofs of palaces, forts and other buildings were decorated with pictoral and floral painting and designs. Gradually art of the painting gained firm ground. Mughal emperors were loving of paintings. Humayun brought with him two Persian painters for the painting of him, Mir Syed Tabrezi and Khawaja Abdul Samad. Generally, kebabs from Balochistan and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa tend to be identical to the Afghan style of barbecue, with coriander and salt being the only seasoning used. Regional kebab recipes come from Karachi and the wider Sindh region is famous for their spicy kebabs, usually marinated in a mixture of spices, lemon juice and yoghurt. Barbecued food is also popular in some cities of Pakistans Punjab such as Lahore, Gujranwala and Sialkot. Al-Hamra Restaurant and Bundu Khan kebab House are famous in Pakistan for their taste and variety of kebabs. Kebab houses are one of the most profitable food businesses in Pakistan. Rice dishes Pakistan is a major exporter and consumer of rice and its items. Basmati rice is the most popular type of rice consumed in Pakistan. Dishes are made with rice include many varieties of pulao like as: Maash pulao A sweet and sour pulao baked with mung beans, apricots and bulghur. Yakhni pulao Meat and stock added. Creates a brown rice. Matar pulao Pulao made with peas. Biryani is a popular dish in Pakistan and has many varieties such as Lahori and Sindhi biryani. There is two type of version of shalwar qameez are available one is light cotton version for summer and second one is heavier wool version for winter, the other dresses are sherwani and achkan. Mens Clothing Men all over Pakistan prefer shalwar kameez with additional accessories which include Pakistani Achkan, Waistcoat and Sherwani with the shalwar kameez and with Churidar Pajama. Jinnah Cap, Fez it also called Rumi Topi and Taqiyah is used with Shalwar Kameez. Khussa is a popular foot wear of men with shalwar kameez. Men are like to wear traditional shawls made of Pashmina and other warm materials especially in North part of the Pakistan. In regional clothing, Balochi people wear shalwar kameez of thick cloth with very wide shalwar for prevent themselves from the hot wind of dry Sulaiman Range and Desert. They wear Balochi turban made of a very long cloth, generally in white color for prevent their head from sun rays.Sindhi people wear shalwar kameez with traditional Sindhi cap and Ajrak of beautiful designs of embroidery which are made locally. Womens Clothing Shalwar Kameez The most favorite dressing of Pakistani women is shalwar kameez which is comes in different styles, colors and designs. It is comes with different shirt length, sleeve length, necklines and different types of shalwars like patiala salwar, churidar pajama and simple trouser. Kurta is also wear by women which are in latest designs. Dupatta is an necessary part of shalwar kameez and considered a symbol of womans respect.It is used with different embroidery designs. Other Traditional Dresses Pakistani women have very large variety of traditional dresses additional than Shalwar Kameez but they mostly wear them at special occasions like Wedding, Engagement, Mehndi and other ceremonies. Among these dresses Saris are very popular and its each design and color seems unique from the other. Galileo Galilei Essay -- Technology, Telescope, Inventions

In 1609 Galileo modified a three-powered spy glass; although Galileo did not invent the first telescope, his high quality modifications were well known and very popular. His alterations helped clarify the idea that the earth and planets revolve around the sun as opposed to the other way around. This powerful telescope, for its time, also helped astronomers see that there was a vast universe with a myriad of stars just waiting to be discovered (â€Å"The First Telescopes†). Just as Columbus’s discoveries of the new world influenced countries to explore into the â€Å"new world,† the American continent, there are countless of new worlds in outer space waiting for humanity to discover. With advancing technology and more knowledge so much more is possible. However, many do not find astronomy or space exploration important or necessary calling it â€Å"propaganda designed to separate [one] from [their] tax dollars.† The fact that there are other daunting challe nges when it comes to astronomy or any related studies, such as funds, support, or disasters, may discourage people on from supporting space exploration and astronomy (Rose). Although when it comes to the adventure of outer space and the resources acquired along the way, obstacles can become obsolete and new portals of information can be opened to humanity inspiring new inventions and minds, finding ways to understand planet earth, and assuring that humanity has a future in the universe. Thus it is important for humanity to have a foot in the door of the Universe. Astronomy and other space related fields have always looked for new ways to advance, which can be traced to Galileo improving the telescope and further back when the first humans would look up at the sky and wonder. But with space exploration new information will inspire the human spirit or discovery from projects such as the Hubble images which are provided for public viewing around the world and a new understanding of earth and how to preserve it will arise, and assuring that humanity has a future in the universe, that is, if the desire to explore the final frontier does not vanish (Moser and Spangenburg 73).

The IPL was well marketed Not so humble origins: In 2008 the Board of Control for Cricket India, initiated the Indian Premier League (IPL) -a professional league for Twenty20 cricket format competition. But even before its start the IPL was in the news for its altercation between the Indian Cricket League (ICL) started by Subhash Chandra of Zee Telefilms Ltd. The BCCI used many tactics (including threatening players who joined ICL that they would not be picked up for national team, raising prize money, inviting celebrities†¦ to eventually crush the ICL format that had started almost a year before. The constant confrontations between ICL and IPL were perennially in the top news in all the news channels. This along with the fact that it was cricket made sure that the Indian viewer was hooked. The IPL is currently contested by 10 teams consisting of players from around the world. It changed the feeling of cricket itself, made it fast paced, exciting and appealing. 2. Cricket + Entertainment= great combination There is no doubt that cricket is synonymous with entertainment when it comes to sports, however the IPL form of entertainment brought with it new elements such as Cheerleaders, star studded opening ceremony, loud party music between shots†¦ that made it lot more than just sports. IPL became synonymous with Glitz and glamour both on and off field, matches were even screened in movie halls 3. Celebrities Apart from the celebrity players, the owners and even the brand ambassadors of various teams were flamboyant and contributed to the secondary associations of IPL. There was no dearth of big names as one after the other all famous personalities were roped in to represent the teams. These include Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Shilpa Shetty, Elizabeth Hurley, Abhishesk Bacchan, Rahul Bose, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Saina Nehwal, Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Daler Mehendi, Ila Arun, Juhi Chawla, Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Kumar. . IPL Player Auction Never in history of Indian television had such numbers been rolled out for public viewing. The auction format, wherein players were to be â€Å"auctioned† had considerable shock value for Indian viewers, but it also gave an indication of the big money that was involved in cricket and specially IPL. There was some negative publicity as well like when Saurav Ganguly was not sold off in the auction, but it just added to the ongoing publicity of IPL. Until 2010, IPL also had the Icon Player concept wherein one player in each team earned 15% more than the next highest player in the team. This concept was added as there were some players who if played in some other team would have caused huge disappointment to their fans, like if Sachin Tendulkar played for some other team than Mumbai Indians it wold crush the Mumbai fans. But this was later n removed as it was considered not fair to the icon players. 5. Packaging of the event * In 2010, Google (the company which runs You Tube) wanting to grow the online video market in India, knew that it had to try to grab a share of the TV eyeballs and therefore IPL became the first sporting event ever to be broadcast live on YouTube in association with Indiatimes. * Players from all over the world played alongside Indian players and BCCI made sure that the event got the international recognition and provided the financial backing it needed. The television rights for IPL are with Sony Entertainment television network and World Sport Group (Singapore), they broadcasted the matches the auction etc well. * The media hype was maintained throughout and there were a number of creative ads which popularized the promo of IPL every season. The ads covered different segments of people and had a tinge of humor but they all conveyed the single thought of cricket entertainment to all segments. * Complete use of social media: YouTube, twitter, FaceBook, Wikiped ia and online page. Conclusion: Purists may say that IPL is not cricket, and they may be right. For IPL marketed as the ‘Entertainment ka Baap’ is not just cricket but glamour, fun, sports and experience all rolled into one and for once the promise was delivered.
